Because I'm about to change the way you look at content creation. Most of you must have noticed the more than massive changes with Facebo-- I mean Meta.
A panoply of new tools were introduced, throwing us out of our comfort zones like a polar bear in the Sahara. One of these tools, which will forcefully (if it hasn't already) force itself on to you like Chris Cuomo, is the Facebook Business Suite, a hubspot for all things business. Whether you like it or not, if you intend to continue using Facebook for commerce, it's to your advantage to learn how to maximise the tools. Hence this article! Here are two way cool features that will help you post at the right time, on the right day, every time and open the door to a new world. Sounds nuts? It should; on average, it can take 8-10 hours of data analysis to truly identify the when and where you post.
Facebook Business Suite| Content Planner
https://business.facebook.com/latest/ <- This will take you right to your Business Suite. This is Mecca. If you have never been here, you'll be greeted with welcome pop-ups, I suggest you read them ;) Too long, didn't read? Not so much. You'll see, in the left side menu, multiple selections possible, but we're going to focus on the calendar:
Here's the nugget: I have two notifications in my calendar telling me at what time I should post, and on what day, and to which platform. WHAT?!?!?! Wait, it gets BETTER!!! This is what happens when you click the schedule button:
To think: this used to take me HOURS! Go through a 1 or 2 year span worth of posts, data streams, demographic charts, then build a calendar around that. THOSE DAYS ARE DONE and if you don't use this to schedule your content, you're more than missing out. This type of work would have cost a company a few thousand depending on size and that, not even a year ago. Now, Meta is doing the work for you. Amazing, right? Scary as hell at the same time, but amazing. NEXT!!!! Seems like the whole fleet is getting a facelift. Introducing LONG-FORM CONTENT FOR INSTAGRAM! Have you heard of Instagram GUIDES? It's a thing, and you totally want in on it.
How do you create an Instagram Guide?
Head to your profile, tap the + icon, then choose Guides from the list of options. If you don’t see it there, try visiting a page with a guide (like StuckInTheBook) and reading the whole guide. You should see an option to create a guide at the bottom.
Why don't I have access to Instagram Guides?
Instagram Guides are available to all users, but not everyone will see the option when they go to create a post. If you don’t see it, find an account with Guides and read a full Guide. You should see an option to create your own at the bottom.
How are Instagram Guides good for marketing?
Guides allow you to share longer-form content and engage with your audience. They can also link directly to product pages, so they’re a great way to drive sales, not just share content.
Harness the Power of Keyword Searches
Because Instagram is now offering longer-form content, it also updated its search functionality. Users can search for content by keyword, which will surface Instagram Guides. That means content discovery just got a whole lot easier on Instagram. Users no longer have to know your brand name or search by hashtag. There you have it, folks! My holiday gift to you is doing the reading, so you don't have to! Health, wealth, and prosperity to all you! Cheers,
